Graduates – Express Entry & Provincial Nominee

Step 1: Express Entry

Start by completing an Express Entry Profile. Your goal is to have enough points (450 aprox), to pass Express Entry. If you pass the system will automatically graduate you to Canadian Experience Class and issue you confirmation letters. If you have enough points you could generate a pass in a few days.

Step 2: Canadian Experiance Class (CEC)

Read some information on the Canadian Experience Class, but you don't actually fill out an application for this. You complete the Express Entry and the system graduates you into a category. Canadian Experience is one of the three categories.

Step 3: Provincial Nominee (BC)

Set up a Provincial Nominee Account. The system will ask you for a confirmation. Once you are accepted into the Canadian Experience Class IRCC will issue you a confirmation letter.

Step 4: Employer Portal for Work Permit Extension

This step is often missed. It is VERY IMPORTANT if you are planning on renewing your "open work permit." Heads up! Your open work permit is no longer renewable, but you are entitled to obtain an employer specific work permit. Employer specific work permit requires the Employer to obtain an LMIA Exemption. The cost is $230.00. If you do not submit this application the officer will deny your work permit application.
